Setting Standards

Setting standards is a powerful feature which allows you to recommend times. You are able to set recommended times for your cast and crew on their time card. At the tap of the button, you are able to set standards for individuals, departments, or a production.

Why set standards? When a cast or crew member signs a time card that has standards set, and they don't change anything, you, the admin, will see a green dot next to that time card. A green dot means they signed that time card and agree with the standards that were set. So you are safe to approve a time card with a green dot.

Therefore, if standards have been set for the entire crew and all their time cards show a green dot, you know they are safe to approve, because all their times and adjustments align with the standards you, the admin, set. If a cast or crew member changes something on a time card, where standards are set, that time card will display a yellow dot next to it, meaning a time or adjustment was changed and now differs from what the admin set. When this happens the admin will need to examine that time card and if necessary talk to the crew member to resolve the discrepancy.

Unique standards can be set for each department. Or you can set the same standards across all departments. Standards were developed by Topsheet to not only save the admin time, but also save a lot of potential confusion and stress, making life on set a lot more fun.
