A producer has invited you to join the payroll through Topsheet. Before you start, learn about how entertainment payroll works. If you are an employee getting payrolled for the first time, learn about employer and employee taxes.
1. GO TO THE DASHBOARD
Navigate to the web dashboard to sign up for an account. You can also download the iOS or Android application.
2. SIGN UP FOR TOPSHEET
Create an account and receive a verification code through a text message to verify your device and account. For iOS users, make sure you enable push notifications in the next step to receive alerts for all your projects.
3. JOIN YOUR PROJECT
From the Notifications page, you will be able to view all of your project invites. Accept or decline and view your accepted projects from the Projects page. You can also directly view all your pending invites if needed.
4. PROVIDE BANKING INFORMATION
In your Accounts page, update your bank information to process your payroll. From the Profiles page, click on Bank Information and update as necessary.
5. PROVIDE TAX INFORMATION
In your Accounts page, update your W4/W9 information to process your payroll. From the Profiles page, update either W4 or W9 information as needed.
6. VIEW CALL SHEETS
From the Home page, your call sheets will be displayed by the dates on the calendar. Tap the calendar to view your call sheet.
7. SIGN TIME CARDS
In the Time Cards page, sign your time card. Make sure your call time and wrap time are correct and include any adjustments if needed.
8. VIEW PAY STUBS
After your payroll is processed, you can view all your pay statements from the Profiles page and click Pay Checks. Each pay stub will have additional information on your payment weeks such as gross, union taxes, year to dates, and more.
